Host Stands with Tip Box
A secure tip slot built directly into the stand — not a jar on the counter.
A host stand with a tip box replaces the tip jar with a proper locking compartment. The slot feeds into an enclosed box inside the stand — visible to guests as a deliberate design choice, secure enough that only the manager opens it at the end of the night.

The tip slot is typically milled into the top surface or the front fascia of the stand. Slot dimensions are standardized for folded bills (approximately 3½″ × ¼″) and the internal drop box is a formed sheet-metal liner that sits inside the carcass. The box itself pulls out via a keyed lock — no prying, no fishing.
We build the tip slot as a fixed feature of the stand, not as an add-on bracket. That means the fascia is clean, the slot edge is finished to match the rest of the laminate or wood surface, and there's no hardware rattling around when the stand is moved.

How the tip slot works
The tip slot is a narrow milled opening — typically 3½ inches wide and ¼ inch tall — cut into the top deck or front fascia of the stand. Bills feed through the slot and drop into a formed sheet-metal box inside the carcass.
The drop box is lined and secured with a lock cylinder keyed separately from the drawer locks. At the end of a shift, a manager uses the key to remove the entire box — or unlocks the bottom panel to empty it in place.
Guests see a clean milled slot, not a jar or a tape-labeled box. The slot reads as an intentional design feature, which sets the tone for how tips are handled in the restaurant.
